Pulled Pork
A smoky slow-cooker pulled pork recipe.
Chemistry
- 3 lbs of pork loin
- A flavorful liquid (to keep things from drying out)
Flavorings
- 1 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp powdered cayenne pepper
- 1/2 c beef broth (part of the flavorful liquid)
- 1 1/2 tsp liquid smoke (part of the flavorful liquid)
Procedure
Combine the dry flavorings into a small bowl and mix with a fork.
Cut the pork loin into 2-inch cubes and place into a large bowl. Combine with the dry flavorings and make sure the meat is coated with seasoning.
Place the seasoned meat inside a slow cooker. Pour in the beef broth and liquid smoke. Cook on high for ~5 hours or on low for ~8 hours or until the meat is tender and slightly falling apart.
When the meat is tender, remove the meat and place on a platter. Shred it with two large forks.
